This past weekend I took some pictures of the moon with the help my my DSLR camera and my telescope. It was my first attempt at capturing the moon, and I wanted to share it with everyone. I tried to get pictures of the Orionids on Saturday night, but I was unsuccessful sadly. The moon pictures, however, did not come out as clear as I wanted them too, but I don't think it was too bad for my first try!

Guest Speaker!
The 7th graders at Huntington Catholic are learning about renewable and non-renewable resources. The students are also learning ways to "go green," or to help save the Earth's resources. On Thursday, October 11, 2012, John Klingenberger, from United REMC, came to the 7th grade's science class to give a real world perspective on saving energy, as he does it on a daily basis. The students were able to learn more about ways to save energy both expensively and inexpensively. In the end, the students got learn more about how to save our resources and had many questions for John to answer. It was great to have John come in and talk with the students; we all learned many new things.
